Riding through the skies upon a golden carriage encrusted with colorful gems, pulled by four pegasai in silver and gold armor, the beautiful and well loved Princess Twilight Sparkle relaxes in her seat as she and her daughter, Starlight, enjoy a peaceful ride over the next hour before they arrive at their destination: The Scaly Spring Hills...which is home to the Dragons and Changelings.

This will be Starlight's first time to see this new area of the island...as well as it's inhabitants. Although she has seen dragons and changelings before, this will be the first Starlight will see so many in one place.

"How much longer until we get there, mommy?!" The pretty little pink alicorn asks repeatedly, clearly excited as always when something new and interesting comes up. She has such a love of learning and adventures; A trait she shares from both her mother and father.

"We will be there when we get there, sweetie," Twilight reassures her overexcited filly, "But remember this is not a visit or a vacation, Starlight. The reason why we must travel to the Hills today is very important."

"How so?" Starlight asks, wondering why she was brought along with her mom too.

"Because a small flock of Changelings are migrating here from their Kingdom far away," Twilight explains the situation, along with the main reason, "...and their Queen, Chrystala, will be leading them here. So, it is up to us to give them a Royal welcome to our majestic kingdom with as much friendship as we can give."

Starlight likes the sound of that and has the feeling this meeting will be even more interesting than before. However, she does recall the tales of the Changelings told by her mother and father some time back. This brings a question to her mind, and she has to ask it, "But...weren't the Changelings our enemies once?"

Twilight shakes her head and gives her daughter a slightly strict look, "What happened in the past is in the past, Starlight. Yes, the Changelings were our enemies because they chose to side with the Darkness so long ago. But...that was our ancestor's fault because they treated the Changelings badly just for being different."

Starlight gasps and is shocked to hear this. Out of all that she has been told on the great shapeshifters, this part has not been mentioned until now, "That's terrible...!"

The purple alicorn sighs and gives a slight nod, "Things were WAY different in the past...but not anymore. The Changelings came back to the side of good, thanks to myself and your father...and to the friendship he had with the Queen in his younger days. So, we must show them that all those bad things are in the past and behind us...and give them as much respect as possible. It is our duty to make them feel welcomed here in our kingdom. Do you understand?"

Little Starlight knows her manners well, thanks to the training she has had from her parents, and will be on her best behavior, "Yes, Mommy."

"That's my little filly~" Twilight praises as she fixes up her daughter's mane a little, wanting her to look as pretty as she can for the meeting with their friends and allies: The Changelings.

******************************************

After a little over an hour of riding in the magical carriage bound for the southeastern part of the island, Starlight gasps softly as she notices they are beginning to descend through the clouds and towards the ground below. However, what the little princess sees is something she has only been able to see before from a far distance...and from her own bedroom balcony:

A lovely set of great hills that are almost as tall as mountains. Luscious, green grass covers most of then, while some have pretty yellow and blue flowers flowing across the fields. There is even a great lake in the very middle, which looks perfect for both drinking and swimming. But the main thing that Starlight sees flying all around the hills are a few fully grown dragons of different colors and shapes.

She squeals in fright at never seeing ones so big before that she clings to her mother for protection.

"Oh..." Twilight holds her little filly close and coos her gently, "It's alright, my little filly. They will not hurt you, I promise." The caring and loving mother whispers as she gently pets the mane of her little alicorn, who still shivers a bit.

Starlight nods and hopes her mommy is right...which she usually is. The frightened little pony takes another look by turning her head, but remains close in her mother's embrace. She witnesses the great dragons flying through the air with such grace and speed; Never has she seen these magnificent creatures in flight on non-feathery wings that blow great gusts of wind with a mere flap.

"They are so...incredible," Starlight admits upon the wonders she has seen thus far.

"They sure are, Starlight," Twilight agrees as she views the very creatures that she herself use to fear; The big ones that is. To her, it's ironic that the dragons use to avoid ponies because they despised them...but now the great beasts see all ponies as friends because of the role they played together in restoring this island to its former glory.

As the mother and daughter continue to watch the dragons fly about, the carriage arrives at the ground level atop of one of the great hills covered in tall, green grass. The breeze that blows from the wind and the gusts made by the dragons' wings cause the blades of green to flow across the valley, making such an effect of great beautiful.

Once the golden carriage comes to a halt, the Princess steps out of the carriage with her daughter upon her back. She gracefully thanks her guard for flying them here in such short time with little trouble along the way. The four pegasai guards neigh politely and remain where they are until the Royal family is ready to head on home to Tambelon City.

"Let us be on our way, Starlight. We have an important meeting to attend and must not be late," Princess Twilight informs her little filly as she lets her down. With her fine mane flowing in the wind along with her golden accessories shining in the sun, The beautiful Princess Twilight Sparkle trots properly down the path to where the Changelings await them.

Starlight follows, and tries to mimic her mother's posture and movement...wanting to impress both her and the race of shapechangers too. But as she tries to catch up with her mom, Starlight feels the need to ask the question that has been in the back of her mind since this morning, "Um...mommy?"

"Yes, dear?" Twilight asks as she stops for a moment to let her daughter catch up.

"Why did you need me to come here with you?"

Twilight just smiles and answers that very question with a special surprise, "Well you see, Queen Chrystala is not only moving here with a flock of her changelings. She is also bringing along her son...and living here will be a new change for him. So, I wanted to bring you along, since you both are the same age, so that you two can play while I speak with his mother."

Starlight's ears perk up at the mention of this and is already thrilled at the idea of making a new friend here in this part of the island she has yet to explore, "Really?! I get to play with the Queen's son?!"

Twilight smiles once more and nods, "Just like I said, sweetie. But...you will need to do your best to make him feel welcome; After all, moving way out here from the Changeling Kingdom is a big change for him, so please do your best to make him feel welcomed."

Starlight hops on her little pink hooves beside her mother with giddy and smiles big, "I promise, mommy!"

"That's my girl~" Twilight praises the daughter she is proud to have in her life and gives her a sweet, little nuzzle on her cheek with her own.

Starlight nuzzles her loving mother in return and cannot wait to meet the young changeling that she hopes to become friends with. But also, she will have to do her best to ensure he will feel welcomed. As the young princess thinks on ideas of what she and her soon-to-be-friend can do while their parents talk, she walks alongside her mother as they stroll down the slope towards a group of what must be the changelings and their queen.

**************************************

Over a dozen grayish-black pony-like creatures all stand together in a group, in a proper formation to welcome the Princess of this island paradise. They smile warmly as they look upon the two alicorns with their soft, golden eyes and with their feathery wings folded to their sides. These benevolent creatures, who once sided with evil when desperate times called for it until they returned to the Light, are ever so thankful to Princess Twilight for giving them such a royal welcome.

As the Princess comes to the center of the Changelings standing in a circle, she and Starlight now witness the bigger changeling approaching...who is without a doubt the gracious ruler of the flock of shapeshifters: Queen Chrystala. She is tall with black fur and a long green mane that flows in the wind. Her beauty is one that few can match, as she smiles with such warmth to the young Princess.

The two rulers approach each other and give a graceful bow, showing every ounce of respect they can to the one that they see as a good friend. It is true Twilight and Chrystala, formerly known as Chrysalis, were enemies at one time or another, but because of a certain stallion who helped them at one point in their lives, the two are now friends...and good ones too.

"It is good to see you again, Queen Chrystala," The beautiful Princess Twilight greets with formality and grace, knowing that the Changelings and their queen are her honored guests as much as she is to their new home.

"As is you, Princess Twilight," The Queen humbly returns the gesture and smiles upon the alicorn princess even she sees as a pony far more beautiful than her, "It is good that you were able to come and give us a warm welcome."

The purple alicorn smiles as her sparkling streak mane flows as the wind blows, "Well of course. Anypony is welcomed to Tambelon, and Royalty should be met with Royalty as well."

The Queen and the Princess continue to exchange pleasantries until Chrystala notices the little pink alicorn that she quickly recognizes to be the young daughter of the Princess. She can tell how much the filly looks so much like her mother, "Oh my. Is that little Starlight?"

Starlight gasps a little and is not sure what to say. Although she knows her manners well, she is unsure how to respond...until she looks up at her mother, who gives her a warm smile that helps her remember what to say, "Uh...um...greetings...your Highness..."

Queen Chrystala smiles and nods gently, "Greetings to you too, little Princess."

Starlight smiles back, steps forward, and gazes upon the bigger Changeling compared to all the others and can see just how magnificent they truly are. Just then, she sees a small figure hiding behind the Queen's back legs. She takes a few steps forward and notices that there is a little colt there.

"Who is that...?" Starlight asks the Queen as she points to the youngling behind her legs.

Queen Chrystala tilts her head a little to the filly's question, but when she turns her head to see that behind her, she just smiles warmly at the little changeling colt who hides himself from the others around him, "No need to be afraid..." She coos softly to her young son, "...come on out, little one~"

Starlight watches as the little changeling slowly moves out of hiding and into view where he can be seen by everypony there. He looks like any other changeling among the group here, but smaller...even so than Starlight. He has golden eyes and a green mane like his mother, and seems very nervous, if not frightened, of the two Princesses.

"This is my son...Tyke," The Queen introduces her little joy to the young princess, hoping the two will become friends. She then turns gently to her son and lets him know who the pretty little filly before him is. "This is Princess Starlight."

Tyke nods but still feels the need to hide behind his mother. Since this new land is so new to him, he does not feel safe out there and hides within the protection of the one who has loved and raised him for so long. He tries to back away under his mother, but she gently stops him by giving him a little nudge from behind with her leg.

Although the young changeling may be nervous from this sudden change, Starlight still hopes to become friends with him during her visit. She smiles and turns her mom and says, "He's a little bashful, isn't he?"

Princess Twilight agrees with her daughter from what she sees, but leans down and whispers, "Well, perhaps it wouldn't be...if you say hello."

The little pink alicorn smile big and turns back to the Queen and her colt, then walks over slowly to where Tyke is hiding. She looks at him with her pretty blue eyes and greets him, "Hello, Tyke."

The grayish black changeling prince gasps a little and back up again...hiding behind his mother's front legs, with only his little golden iris eye peaking out.

"Umm...I...I said hello," Starlight tries again, hoping he will answer her.

Tyke remains where he is and does not respond; He is too afraid for reasons even he cannot understand.

"Aren't you going to answer her, sweetie?" Queen Chrystala asks her little colt when she hears not a single word of a returning greeting from his mouth.

The nervous little changeling gulps and shakes his head, clearly too afraid to so much as speak to the filly before him. He has spent most of his life around other Changelings and very rarely has ever seen a pony before...especially one around his age. Tyke just looks at Starlight and remains silent.

Chrystala does not like the fact her son is being rude to the little princess, even as scared as he is. She decides to trick him into talking. "You're not afraid of her, are you?~"

Tyke gasps and shakes his head, denying that he would be scared of a filly who is slightly bigger than him.

"Well, then go ahead and say hello," The mother steps back a little, bringing her son out of hiding. She then leans down and gives him a little push with her head, encouraging him to show proper respect to a princess...since he is a prince.

Tyke is pushed gently a ways towards Starlight, until he is but a few hoofsteps to her. He looks upon the princess who smiles warmly and batters her eyelashes a little, showing her pretty blue eyes and welcoming smile. This causes the cheeks of the grayish black changeling to turn a little red.

"Go on, little one," The Queen encourages her son gently once more, "Say hello."

Tyke gulps and obeys his mother. He closes his eyes and mutters one little word:

    "...Hello..."

Upon hearing Tyke greet him so nervously, Starlight giggles a bit and finds this youngling around her age to be cute when he is bashful. She has a feeling that they will get along just fine...and even becomes friends after all this is over.

Tyke looks up at Starlight when his ears hear the alicorn with the streak mane giggling. He feels so embarrassed and blushes more, feeling that he has completely humiliated himself in front of the ones who have welcomed his family here. He almost feels like crying...but does his best not to, "W-W-What is...s-s-so...funny?"

Starlight's giggling comes to an end and she smiles at the youngling, "Oh nothing. I'm just really happy you said "hello"...and it is nice to meet you Tyke."

The little changeling feels a little better, especially when he sees how kind the princess is. He smiles a little and says, "T-Thank you, your Highness." He feels the need to bows properly to Starlight, wishing to make a good impression to the daughter of Princess Twilight Sparkle.

As much as Starlight is honored to be referred to as "Your Highness", she prefers to be called by her name...since she is not of age yet. However, it does make her giggle again as well as blush slightly, "You can just call me Starlight...if you are okay with me calling you Tyke?"

The moment those words reach his little black ears that perk up, a warm smile and a sense of gratitude comes to the little changeling's face as he looks back up at the young princess and replies, "I am okay with it. Thank you, Starlight."

The two continue to smile and giggle, which is a good start for these little ponies. Both mothers get the feeling their little yearlings are going to do just fine...even though they just met. But even so, this is a good start.

"Starlight?" Twilight gets the attention of her little filly, "Wasn't there something you wanted to ask of Tyke?"

Starlight is unsure what her mother means at first, but then recalls the reason why she came to the Scaly Spring Hills to begin with. The little princess turns back to Tyke and tries to get his attention, "Um...Tyke?"

The young changeling hears his name called by the little filly and replies, "Y-Y-Yes...?"

"I...I was wondering...since you are new here and all..." Starlight tries to speak up better so that she can be heard as she tries to help make the changeling feel more welcomed here in his new home, "...maybe we could go play while our parents talk?"

Tyke is unsure what to think at first, but then he looks up at his mother to see if it is alright, "Mommy...may i?"

The beautiful Changeling Queen smiles down upon her son and she gives him a nod of approval, "Of course you can, dear."

With that, the two yearlings feel so happy to be allowed this chance to get to know each other more and have some fun. They then move off to play in the fields a little ways away, while their mothers and the changelings move on in the other direction.

*****************************************

Starlight and Tyke run off to the grassy field of flowers not too far from where their parents were, and prance on through...enjoying the cool breeze and the warm sun that shines down upon their little bodies. The young princess gets ahead of the young prince and stops when they come to an opening within the field.

"So...what do you want to play, Tyke?" Starlight asks her little friend as she turns around to face him as he comes to a stop.

"Um...i'm...not sure..." The clueless little changeling says as he shrugs his shoulders.

Starlight thinks on what game they could play, then suddenly grins and taps the side of her new friend, "Tag! You're IT!!" She shouts and is about ready to run...but does not when she notices Tyke just standing there, confused. "Um...you're suppose to chase me..."

Tyke merely tilts his head, unsure about what is going on.

"What's the matter? Don't you know how to play "tag"?" Starlight questions with much surprise as well as shock that Tyke does not know a common game that little ponies play all the time.

Shaking his head sadly, the changeling prince is ashamed to not know this game from what Starlight describes, "I'm...I'm sorry. I...I don't know...many games."

Starlight walks up to the youngling as he sits on the ground, hanging his head in shame. She places her hoof gently upon his shoulder, feeling sorry for him, "Why ever not?"

Tyke sniffs and wipes his eyes. He then tells Starlight how he never had many friends in his former home...all because he was smaller than all the others and nopony wanted to play with him. That...and the fact that he is the son of the Queen of all Changelings, which made some of the other younglings nervous.

"...they just...never wanted to play with me...or they didn't want me to because I would mess up their games..." Tyke confesses to what his life was like back in the Changeling Kingdom.

"I'm...I'm so sorry..." Starlight feels so sorry for her friend and wishes she could help him forget those bad memories. She then thinks of an idea that may help him at least move off the subject, "Well...what did you do for fun when you lived in the Changeling Kingdom?"

Tyke's thoughts become much happier when he recalls all the times he would spend time with his mother; Flying upon her back as she soared the skies, showing him how to change forms properly, and knowing the history of their kind...both the good and the bad. Most of his happiness comes from his mother. He begins to tell her much of what they would do...along with many other wonderful experiences and activities.

"Wow..." Starlight admits after Tyke finishes explaining much of his past up until now, "You really have quite an amazing story, Tyke. Much of it sounds so similar to my own..."

The pointy little ears of the shy little changeling perk up when he hears Starlight mention this, "Really...?"

"Oh yes!" The pretty little filly with her streak mane flowing as the wind blows on by, "We both have such caring mothers, plus we each have sought something that we both have longed for."

    "W-W-What is that...?"

Starlight looks upon the curious face of the changeling called Tyke, and gives him a warm smile. She places her hoof upon his shoulder and speaks softly and truthfully...with one word spoken from her lips:

    "Friendship."

Tyke is surprised at first when he hears this...but then comes to agree with the alicorn he has become fond of, "Perhaps...you are right..."

Starlight smiles and is happy Tyke agrees with her.

"...but...I miss my home...and all the beauty that I once saw there: The rolling hills, the green grass I use to run around and roll in, and even the fresh flowers that my mother and I would collect and eat..." Tyke admits, still not coming to terms with being in a new and completely unknown area to him.

Starlight understands Tyke's situation but tries to help him, "I know. Change is not always easy...like my father once told me when he lived in Equestria years before he moved here to Tambelon...and way before I was born. But he adapted and soon called them both his home."

Tyke listens well to what Starlight has to say on the subject of change. Even though Changelings are masters of changing, living in a new home is one that this young prince is not prepared for. However, as he hears more on what the princess is saying...he begins to not feel as scared anymore.

"I've been through a few changes before myself: Like when I was able to leave my castle for the first time; I was scared at first...but it turned out to be a glorious experience that I never wanted to end. Plus...the friends I made along the way made it all the more interesting," Starlight elaborates truthfully, "I know moving here may be different than what you were use to, but I think you will find it to be quite an adventure...just as I found my own to be."

Tyke feels a little better, but can sense truth in Starlight's words, "I guess...I guess that does make sense."

Starlight is happy to hear her new friend come to realize this, and hopes he will continue to enjoy all that this island has to offer...plus the friends Tyke can make here, changeling and more. She then taps his shoulder and giggles, "So, are you ready to play now?~"

    "Play? Play what?"

"Tag, silly~" She teases and tapes his shoulder once again, "Tag, you're it!"

Tyke giggles and watches as Starlight runs away into the field of grass. He stands back up on his four black hooves and gives chase, and is hoping to catch her and continue playing this game while having as much fun as possible.

*****************************************

Meanwhile, as the newly arrived Changelings begin flying around the grassy hills to explore their new home fully, their Queen walks along side the Princess of Tambelon as they take a stroll together across the valley of sunflowers and soft dirt that leaves behind hoofprints from where they roam.

Chrystala admires the sight of her kind soaring through the air, enjoying the company of their fellow Changeling and Dragon neighbors. Already the friendship and love they feel from each other helps make them strong to do so much so soon after such a long flight over from the far away home Kingdom.

As they continue to walk, Twilight decides to open the conversation with her Changeling friend.

"So, if you will allow me to ask, why did you decide to move out here?" The Princess questions politely, "I mean, your kingdom was so grander and more magnificent when you invited me and my friends there to visit some years back. Why ever did you wish to leave it?"

The queen giggles and gives her pony friend a warm smile, "In truth, I moved here for my son."

Princess Twilight turns her head to look upon the Queen with surprise. This causes another question to be brought up; One that may hopefully answer Twilight's other question, "You moved here...for your son?"

"That is correct," Chrystala replies assuredly, "He was having trouble making friends in our Kingdom, and because of how small he is, many changelings his age said he was too little to do anything. But I know that is not true: I know my little Tyke can do anything if he puts his mind to it. I just hope he will be alright moving here...even at an early age as he is."

The Princess smiles and understands the situation that led the Queen and a good amount of her Changelings to migrate to the island. The young but mature alicorn continues to walk by Chrystala's side and speaks once more, "I know it may have been hard for you and your son recently...but I assure you Tyke will make the best of what is here and throughout the rest of Tambelon; He will make many friends, including my daughter."

The queen appreciates the kindness shown by her former enemy now-turned-friend and strolls down the field to where they see some dragons resting and speaking with the Changelings. To her, this may be the perfect place to raise her son until he is ready to take up his responsibilities as Prince of the Changelings.

But for now, Chrystala hopes that her son will make plenty of friends and learn much about friendship the way she has when she first met the pony that later helped bring her kind back to the Light: Courageous Heart.

************************************************

Elsewhere, Tyke continues to give chase to Starlight through the tall blades of grass that any fully grown pony or changeling can see over easily. But since both himself and his friend are mere foals, they cannot. But the young prince is still able to see the tail of the princess as he chases her.

"You can't catch me~" Starlight teases as she gallops through the grass and out into a field of flowers.

"Yes, I can!~" He teases back and tries to catch up with Starlight before he runs out of breath. Already his little legs are tiring out and decides to take a break by using his wings to his advantage. The little changeling with the green mane takes flight and is quickly able to catch up with Starlight.

The alicorn gasps when she sees Tyke using his wings, and quickly uses her own to fly on ahead. Soon, both she and her friend are playing chase in the air and it won't be long before Starlight is caught and it will be her turn to chase the changeling, whom she is really happy to have met.

Soon after a little while of chasing and flying, both Starlight and Tyke come to the end of the line...or more likely the end of the hill with a great cliff overlooking the entire valley and the lake below. They gaze in wonder at the beauty of this place that is home to many dragons and changelings.

"It's just so pretty here..." Starlight admits as she becomes fond of her surroundings. Even though she has seen much of Tambelon and has admired all of it's wonders, there has yet to be one place in her home that she has not found such beauty and friendship shared among creatures of all shapes and sizes, "This place...this entire island...is a true paradise."

Tyke sits next to Starlight and stares out into the distance, and admits that this place does seem peaceful and as pretty as she says it can be. Although deep in his heart he misses his home and all that resided within: the green fields, the gems that covered the canyon walls, and the warm cavern that he would sleep in every night with his mom. Even though it may take a while to get use to this new yet familiar place...the one thing he has here that he never had back home...is a friend.

As Starlight continues to watch the dragons and changelings fly around across the hills and valley, Tyke turns to her and feels the need to thank her for being his friend in his time of need. He smiles and mutters a little to get her attention.  "Um...Starlight?"

The adventurous and intelligent little princess turns to her new friend and smiles, "Yes, Tyke?"

Before he can give his gratitude for everything Starlight has done for him in the last hour, they both hear the roaring of two great dragons up in the skies above them. Turning their gaze to the above, Starlight and Tyke see a green and red dragon flying together...only to see them lose their balance and fall down towards the ground below.

While one dragon is able to regain her balance early, the red male dragon is unable to and falls further down...and nearly hits the ground. But in a last effort, the red dragons flips right side up, beats his wings, and regains balance. However...the gust from the red scaled beast blows a mighty gust that pushes the two little foals back a ways...and right off the cliff.

"AAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!" Tyke and Starlight scream and they fall downward towards the lake. They desperately try to flap their wings, but them spinning out of control makes it impossible to do it properly. Without the proper position to fly and little skill in magic, the two helplessly fall downward and cry out for somepony or dragon save them. "HEEEEEEEELLPP!!!"

The two continue to fall downward towards the lake below them. They scream for somepony to help them, but the nearest ones to help them are the two dragons...who saw what their accident had caused and are currently flying downward to rescue the falling foals...but may not reach them in time.

"What are we going to do, Starlight?!!!" Tyke screams, unsure of what is going to happen once they hit the water below.

"I don't know!!" She screams in fright to the situation she blames herself for getting Tyke and herself into, "Tyke...I'm sorry!"

    "For what?!"

"For all this!" Starlight admits as she regains her balance, but is still unable to use her wings to stop falling...due to them falling too fast and are nearing the water quickly, "I just...I just wanted to help make you feel welcome...and be your friend!"

Tyke is moved by her words as they are seconds away from hitting the lake, "Starlight...! I have to tell you something...before we hit the water!" He gulps and speaks quickly, "Thank you...for everything! You really are...a true friend!!"

Starlight gasps softly and smiles with a tear or two forming in her eyes. Even as they plummet down towards the lake and are likely to make a big splash, the little alicorn is so happy to have helped her new best friend feel welcomed in his new home. She moves over to him and hugs him, "You're welcome...my new best friend...!"

Tyke blushes a little but smiles and hugs her back as they near the water. He holds onto her tight as they are about to hit the lake in five...four...three...

Suddenly, just like that, the two hugging foals are saved by the green and red dragon that caused this. These great fire breathing beasts were able to pull a quick burst of speed and catch Starlight and Tyke in the nick of time. "Are you two alright?" The female asks as she carries them within her arms.

Breathing a sigh of relief, Starlight and Tyke nod and smile at their rescuers...and are thankful they arrived just in time.

**************************************

As the dragons return to the ground and help the little foals back onto their hooves, they deeply apologize for their actions and beg for the young prince and princess's forgiveness. The green and red dragon lay upon the ground, getting down low as possible, pleading to the two that they meant not to putting them in harms way.

Tyke and Starlight smile a little and reassure their saviors they do not blame them at all for the accident that almost made them fall a long way down into a lake...which seemed like a fun idea now that they think about it.

The two dragons thank the youngling and filly, and hope they can make it up to them. But before such a debt can be repaid, Tyke's flock of Changelings, along with his mother and Princess Twilight, arrive upon hearing the screams and are so relieved to see their darling foals safe and sound.

"Are you alright, Starlight?!!" Princess Twilight screams in worry as she holds her precious filly close to her, so saddened to have heard that her daughter fell and was nearly hurt. This makes her cry for her little baby, "I was so scared when..." Twilight sniffs and keeps her daughter safe in her embrace.

"My little Tyke!" Queen Chyrstala weeps as she holds her youngling close to her, so thankful he is safe...but now is beginning to regret bringing him here since he almost got hurt, "I'm so sorry I wasn't there to watch and protect you..."

Starlight and Tyke embrace to their own mothers and feel sorry for worrying them so. They each apologize softly and let them know they are safe...

"I'm okay, mommy..." Starlight whispers, "The dragons saved us before we hit the water..." She explains what happened and decides to leave out the part that the dragons were also responsible for causing them to fall.

Tyke lets his mom know he is safe and that the dragons are responsible for their rescue.

The two mothers, as grateful as they are for their children to be safe and now out of harms way, thank the dragons gratefully for saving Tyke and Starlight from the fall.

"Thank you so much for saving out babies," The Queen and Princess show much of their gratitude for the heroism the two dragons have shown them, "If there is anything we can do to repay you...just name it."

The female dragon looks to her mate and him back to her. They are really surprised that the little foals they saved did not mention how they were also responsible for causing the fall of the little prince and princess. Knowing that Starlight and Tyke protected them from being punished, the dragons shake their heads and smile, "No reward is necessary, your Majesties! We are just happy knowing your children are safe."

"That is correct, my love." The green female dragon agrees with her mate and then turns back to the Princess and Queen, "Now that they are safe with you again, we must return to our nest...where our own dragonlings require our protection and love."

Proving once more that the dragons are more generous than greedy, as well as the original bearers of the Element of Generosity, the Royal mothers accept their decision and let will not keep them from the role of parenting any longer.

The two dragons wave goodbye and take flight. As the green one flies on ahead to quickly return to her next, Starlight calls out to the red one, "Wait! I never got your name!"

The great red dragon spreads his mighty wing and reveals his name proudly, "Garble!" He nods and then takes off.

The Changelings and the Royals Families wave goodbye to Garble and his mate as they fly away. Even though Twilight recalls knowing the name "Garble" and what he use to be like in the past, she is proud that he has grown up and found somepony special...just like a certain dragon she knows back in Tambelon.

Once the dragons are gone, Twilight and Chrystala decide that it is best to end the meeting now and resume it another time; They are all beat from all the excitement and fright that has taken place this entire day, and should get their foals home to rest up.

"Aww...do we have too?" Starlight complains. She really wants to spend more time with her new best friend and doesn't want to go home and take a nap.

"I'm sorry, Starlight...but that is my decision. You can play with Tyke another time, I promise." The alicorn mother reassures her daughter and is about ready to lead her back to the carriage to take them home.

"Okay..." The little princess sighs sadly, but cannot argue with her mother's choice. However, before she goes, Starlight turns back to Tyke and smiles, "I had a wonderful time today, Tyke. I hope we can play again sometime soon."

"I hope so too!" The thrilled little youngling says as he gives her a warm smile of assurance that they will again soon, "I had so much fun today with you, Starlight. Plus you helped me realize something important."

    "Oh? What is that?"

"You helped me realize that moving to a new home is not so bad as I thought it would be..." Tyke explains as his mother and fellow Changelings listen, "I learned that change is not always a bad thing: Even if we move on from one thing to something different that we we may not understand at the beginning, trying something new can always be an exciting adventure...especially with the new friends you make along the way."

Starlight is so happy to hear this coming from the changeling that she sees as a good friend and playmate.

"I will never forget what you showed me today, Starlight. You really are...my best friend."

The little princess runs over to the sweet and kind youngling and hugs him, "You are my best friend too, Tyke. Thank you for the wonderful time I had today!"

Tyke blushes a little, but smile and hugs Starlight in return and thanks her for the same.

As the two foals hug, the Changelings are moved by how their young prince has found himself a friend that he will cherish and play with for as long as possible. Even the Princess and Queen are moved the same and are happy things worked out in the end. Chrystala is happy seeing her son now ready to accept this new home, even though she was ready to take him back after all that happened...but is thrilled that he would rather stay than leave.

While the changelings that have migrated to the island will have to get use to this new land and all the change that comes with it, they know things will be easier, so long as they follow the examples of their young prince...who will make a fine ruler of the Changelings Kingdom someday.
