Another glorious morning in Ponyville; The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and all was as it should be: peaceful and certainly fine.

Everypony was up and about, ready to start a new day. But one particular pony was able to rise quicker than most in order to do some extra work around her house. There was much to do: dusting, reorganizing, and studying. This little unicorn, along with her dragon assistant, had planned the whole day to accomplish this before sunset.

“Where do you want these, Twilight?” Spike asked his best friend, whiling trying to carry a stack of seven books.

“Put those over by the shelves…in the “History of the Ancient Magical Arts” section,” Twilight answered while she was reorganizing her study, with the help of her magic.

“Okay…whoa!…” Spike replied as the booked wobbled as he made his way over to the shelf.

“Be careful Spike. Don’t want you getting hurt.”

“Pfftt. Don’t worry, Twilight. Nothing can bring this dragon-” Spike proudly stated, until he lost control of the stack and they fell out of his arms and onto him, burying him underneath the pages, “-down…”

“Oh Spike…” Twilight giggled and levitated the books off her little baby dragon.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the front door and Twilight rushed over to answer it. Once she opened the door, she smiled with joy upon seeing a tall, brown coated stallion before her. It was her coltfriend: Courageous Heart.

**************************************

“Good morning, Twilight. I hope I am not interu-” Courageous greeted, but was was cutt off when he felt the soft lips of his marefriend press against his cheek, kissing him gently and lovingly. The Champion could not help but blush at the warm and welcoming greeting.

“Good Morning, sweetie,” the little lavender unicorn whispered as she turned her cheek willingly, hoping he would return the gesture. Courageous smiled and presses his own lips to the soft cheek of this beautiful unicorn, causing her to blush and giggle like the little schoolgirl she is.

Spike, who was watching nearby, gagged silently and left the room, “Better get out of here before they start getting all mushy…”

Soon, Twilight and Courageous were rubbing their noses together as they gazed into each other’s eyes; a warm smile formed on their lips as they enjoyed this romantic moment. Eventually, Twilight decided at last to ask why her handsome stallion came by so early to pay her a visit, which she did not mind at all since she loved it when he would do this.

Courageous Heart rubbed the back of his head and explained, “Well, you see…I like to ask…if you would like to…you know…”

Twilight Sparkle gasped a little and smiled, “Are you asking me out on another date?”

Courageous smiled but shook his head, “I wish with all my heart that I was right now, but it’s actually something else…”

Twilight sighed, a little disappointed, but would not let it get her down, “Oh…I see. Well then, what is it?”

“Well, my father and mother are going to be teaching tap dancing lessons for a good portion of the day at their academy here in Ponyville. They wish for me to attend since they want me to learn more of the family traditions and such…”

“Okay…but what does this have to do with me?”

“I’m getting to that,” Courageous Heart moved ahead to the reason he came here, “Since this is a little late notice, we need a babysitter for Shammy. She is too young to learn tap dancing right now, and we need somepony to watch her for the day, and I was wondering if you-”

Twilight Sparkle’s eyes lit up as if it was Hearth’s Warming Eve and, for the moment, was speechless…

“You…want me…to foalsit…Shammy?”

“Yes…but only if you want to. I mean, if you’re busy, I can find somepony else who-”

The excited Twilight screamed and threw her arms around Courageous’s neck, “Eeeeeeeeee!!!!”

“Uh…Twilight?” Courageous blushed and was puzzled by her reaction.

“Of course I‘ll foalsit Shammy!!” She felt so happy, she could not hide it for a moment. Out of all the things she has always wanted to do, foalsitting a little filly was practically at the top of her list.

“I’m so glad…” Courageous chuckled as it began to get a little harder to breath with Twilight hugging his neck so hard, “Um…Twilight…too tight…”

Realizing she was hugging her colt friend a little too much, she released him and blushed, “Sorry…”

Catching his breath, he shook his head, reassuring her he was alright, “Don’t…worry about it. So, you really want to do this, Twilight?”

“Oh yes, I do!” The lavender unicorn nodded, as she marveled in all the possibilities of foalsitting, “Ever since Cadance foalsitted me when I was a filly, I have always wanted the chance to do the same. I really want to do this, Courageous…I really do.”

Courageous smiled and was thrilled Twilight was so interested in foalsitting, as well as wanting the job of watching over his little sister while he would practice dancing with his parents, “Thank you so much, Twilight. You don’t know how much this means to me.”

Twilight walked up and embraced her dearest stallion and nuzzled her cheek into the soft fur of his chest, “Thank you for giving me this opportunity, Courageous. This means a lot to me too.”

Courageous Heart held his sweet, beautiful and caring marefriend close and knew choosing her to foalsit his little sister was the right choice, “I know you and Shammy will get along just fine.”

“I hope we do. She is such a sweet little filly,” Twilight smiled as she snuggled into her boyfriend’s embrace, “So…when should I come over?”

“We start the class around noon, so that time would be best,” Courageous suggested as she released the sweet mare, after kissing her forehead.

“I will be there,” Twilight assured her dearest stallion, “Honestly, I can’t wait. This is going to be so exciting!”

The horned pegasus could see the expression of happiness on Twilight’s face and eyes; She almost resembled Pinkie Pie with the way she smiling. Giving her a loving kiss on her cheek once more, Courageous turned and was ready to head off, “I will see you in a few hours. I have to go tell my parents the good news.”

Blushing and waving, Twilight bid him goodbye…at least for now, “See you soon…my Courageous Heart.”

Once he was gone, Twilight closed the door and turned around to face the inside of her home, as well as the baby dragon who came back after finishing cleaning up in the next room.

“So…what was that all about, Twilight?” Spike wondered.

Taking in a deep breath, Twilight smiled and answered, “Drop everything you are doing, Spike. We have a new project to do as of now!”

“And what is that, if I may ask?”

“Preparing for foalsitting!”

Spike had no idea what that meant, but he was thankful it had nothing to do with him. Shrugging, he followed Twilight’s instructions and gathered all she would asked for. Twilight was very excited as she collected all her books on different varieties of games and activities that she and Shammy could do together. She only had a few hours to prepare, but it was all the time she needed.

********************************

The clock struck 12, and Tap Step, along with his wife and son, were ready to head out the door and get to the academy where over a dozen students were awaiting their teachers.

“We have everything we need, dear?” Tap Step asked his wife.

“I think so,” Grace replied as she grabbed her bag.

“I am ready when you are, dad,” Courageous informed.

“Alright then. All we need to do is wait for the babysitter to arrive…which I hope will be soon,” Tap stated.

“But daddy…I wanna go too!” The young filly with the star-shaped sapphire necklace around her neck complained. She was clearly not interested in being foalsitted.

“Shammy, we have gone over this: you are still too young to learn tap dancing. Next year, you will be ready,” Tap explained, “But for now, I want you to be on your best behavior for the babysitter.”

“But I’m no baby!” The little green filly pouted, “Besides, why can’t Courageous watch me? I’d rather have big brother here than a babysitter!”

“Shammy, do not argue with your father!” Grace snapped at her daughter, “Since your brother is apart of our family now, he needs to learn our family traditions.”

Little Shammy understood, but still did not like the idea of being left at home with a complete stranger, “I know…but…”

Grace and Tap walked up and hugged their little filly, trying to put her doubts to rest, “It will be alright, Shammy. Your brother found the perfect foal sitter for you, so you have nothing to worry about.”

“That’s right. You and her will get along just fine…won’t you, little sister?” Courageous asked as he join the family hug.

Shammy was about to answer when there came a knock on the front door. Tap and Grace walked over to open it, knowing it was the foalsitter. Shammy quickly hid behind her big brother’s front legs; she was still a little nervous and somewhat upset with this whole foalsitting thing.

“Good Afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. Step. I am here, right on time, to foalsit your daughter,” Twilight Sparkle smiled and bowed graciously to her boyfriend’s parents.

“Welcome, Twilight,” Tap greeted the little lavender unicorn, “Thank you so much for doing this on such short notice.”

“Yes. We really appreciate this very much,” Grace thanked her son’s caring and beautiful girlfriend.

“Not a problem,” Twilight assured, then looked around for that special little filly, “Where might the little sweetheart be?” she used a sweet, caring tone to ask this, wanting to show a first good impression.

Courageous chuckled a little then smiled, “She is right here.” He noticed Shammy doing her best to hide from Twilight, but whispered, “Don’t be afraid, little sister. Come on out.”

Shammy peeked just a little bit, but refused to leave the protection of her big brother.

Twilight kneeled down and smiled at the nervous little filly, “Hello there, Shammy. It’s me…Twilight.”

“Say hi to your foalsitter, Shammy,” Courageous gently nudged his sister, hoping she would say something.

“…hi…” Shammy muttered while continuing to stay hidden.

“You don’t need to be afraid,” Twilight assured, “We’re going to have a lot of fun today. We can draw, play in the park, and maybe I can teach you some magic. Would you like that?”

Although she found those activities to be fun, Shammy still did not trust nor like Twilight much, but she nodded anyway,”…sure…”

Twilight worried a little from the little filly’s responses and looked up at her coltfriend. Courageous noticed this as well, and hoped that their time alone would help them bond.

“Come now, son. We need to get going,” Courageous’s mother said as she and her husband ran out the door.

“Coming mother!” Courageous Heart called out as he started to make his way to the door.

“No, big brother!” Shammy held onto his leg, begging him to stay.

“It’s alright, Shammy. Twilight will take good care of you while we are gone. Please be nice to her and listen to what she says, okay?”

The little greet coated filly came out from underneath her brother and nodded, “Okay…”

“That’s my little Shammy…” He leaned down and kissed his sister’s cheek, causing her to blush and smile, “You two have fun,” He said to his marefriend.

“We will, and I will see you tonight, my handsome stallion,” Twilight cooed as she moved in to press her lips to those of her coltfriend, forming a soft, loving kiss.

Upset with what she just saw, Shammy ran up to her bedroom, wanting to get away from Twilight. As the kiss ended, Courageous ran out the door to rejoin his parents on their way to the Ponyville Tap Dancing Academy. Soon, they were all out of sight, leaving just the two unicorns there at the house.

*********************************

Twilight Sparkle closed the door and turned around, “Alright Shammy, you ready for some…fun?” She noticed that the little filly was no longer in the den. She began to look around and hoped to find her soon. “Come on out, Shammy. Don’t you want to play a game or something?” Twilight called out, but received no answer.

After a bit of searching downstairs, Twilight made her way up the stairs to the bedrooms. Arriving at Shammy’s bedroom, she knocked on the door, “You in there?”

“Go away!” came a voice from inside; the tone sounded of both sadness and anger.

“Shammy, is everything okay?”

“I’m fine, now go away!!” Shammy shouted at her foalsitter.

Twilight wondered what the problem was, and tried to talk to her, “Come on, Shammy. We have so much to do today. You don’t want to spend it all in your room, do you?”

Shammy refused to get up from her bed, “Hmph! Yes I do!”

Twilight sighed and thought this was going to be easy, yet Shammy was being uncooperative. At first, the lavender unicorn wondered if she should force the door open with her magic and make Shammy come down, but that would not help anypony.

“Alright then, stay in your room all day if you like,” Twilight blurted and made her way down, but not before saying, “Since I’m sure you have not had lunch yet, I’m going to make you something. Come down when you are feeling hungry, okay?”

Shammy felt her tummy growl, but would still not answer Twilight.

Twilight huffed and made her way down to the kitchen to make a daisy sandwich for the stubborn, little filly. Even though it wasn’t looking well so far, Twilight hoped that things would improve after she ate something.

Upon finishing the sandwich, Twilight heard a door open from upstairs; No doubt it was Shammy, and she finally decided to come out to eat. Placing the meal on the table, Twilight Sparkle hid behind the counter and waited.

Eventually, the little filly named Shammy Step peeked inside the kitchen to make sure it was safe and clear. She then walked in, sat down at the table, and nibbled at the sandwich made for her.

Twilight watched from her hiding spot as Shammy ate the daisy sandwich. Although she was a little upset with her behavior, perhaps after lunch the activities Twilight had planned would make things better.

While Shammy finished her meal, Twilight sneaked out of the kitchen quietly and walked into the den, opening her saddlebag with all the books and board games she brought along with her.

**********************************

Once Shammy finished her sandwich, she tried to dash out of the kitchen and back up to her room. However, this time the stairs was blocked by a wall of magic, preventing the filly from reaching the safety of her room.

“What is this?!” She asked, “Why is this here?!”

“Sorry, Shammy. But I really don’t want you to spend all day in your room like this…” Twilight stated, then laid out all she brought for Shammy to enjoy, “…especially when we have so much fun we could be doing!”

Shammy sighed and walked over to look at the books and board games upon the carpet. She looked at them quickly, and showed absolutely no interest.

“So, which book do you want to read?” Twilight asked, hoping she was into books as much as she was.

“None of them, really…”

“Oh…” Twilight shrugged and asked, “Well then, are there any games here that interest you?”

“No…” Shammy answered, trying not to look up at her foalsitter.

Twilight sighed, but reached into her bag and pulled out something different that might work; something that all fillies and mares enjoy.

“I brought some brushes and ten different hoof polish colors. Maybe we could braid our manes and paint our hooves while we talk about stuff. How does that sound?” Twilight hope this would be the one sure fire thing.

“Kinda boring…”

Twilight could not believe Shammy turned this down too; The lavender unicorn always enjoyed this activity ever since Cadance foalsat her years ago. But now, Twilight was now getting a little frustrated by this.

“Well then, what do you want to do?!” Twilight snapped.

“I don’t know, okay!” Shammy turned away from Twilight, huffing as she sat on the floor.

“Shammy, I’m really getting frustrated with your attitude!” Twilight lectured, “You refuse to talk to me, as well as refuse to play any of these fun activities I planned for us to do! Why won’t you let me be your friend?!”

The little green coated filly, now sniffing and about to cry, turned around to face her foalsitter, “The only reason…you wanted to be here…is so you can be near…*sniff*…my brother. You just want to keep him to yourself…like you always do!”

Twilight gasped and was shocked to hear Shammy say something like that, “That is not true, Shammy! I would never-”

“Yes you do!! She wailed, with tears pouring down her eyes, “Every time I try to play with Courageous, he says he has plans with you! He’s always going to see you, because you keep taking him!!”

Twilight did not know what to say: At first she was upset with Shammy, but now felt terrible for always wanting Courageous be with her when his little sister only wanted to spend time with her big brother, “Shammy…I…”

“You just want to take him away from me! He’s MY big brother, and I love him!” Shammy cried, as the tears continued to flow.

Twilight tried to move her hoof towards the filly, hoping to show her she meant to harm, but Shammy swatted it away and ran out the front door, “I don’t want you as foalsitter! I want my Big Brother!!!”

“Shammy, Wait!!” Twilight called out to the hurt little pony, but it was too late; Shammy had run away from her house and disappeared.

Twilight Sparkle now realized that Shammy did speak some truth to all that; Twilight had been spending a lot of time with her boyfriend, that she was unaware of what the little filly was feeling. Knowing that she had to make things right, Twilight galloped out of the house and into Ponyville, desperate to find Shammy before her parents would return. Without knowing where to start, the young mare looked everywhere she possible could for the missing pony.

********************************

After nearly twenty or so minutes of searching around Ponyville, even checking around in the usual places anypony could hide in, Shammy was nowhere to be found. Twilight was starting to get a very worried, until she suddenly had an idea. She galloped on over to the Carousel Boutique to ask a good friend to help her track down the missing filly.

“You want me to find Courageous Heart‘s little sister Shammy?” Asked the beautiful white unicorn named Rarity, “I can only find gems with my magic, Twilight…not ponies.”

“I know that, Rairty…but Shammy was wearing that necklace that Courageous gave her,” Twilight explained as they searched around town, “It’s the same one we found in his homeland, that belonged to Charisma.”

Rarity recalled that and nodded, “I see. Well, if she is wearing the necklace right now, then perhaps I can locate her.”

Twilight was glad to hear that Rarity might be able to locate Shammy. The longer she was missing, the more it worried Twilight; She was concerned for Shammy’s safety and wanted to bring her home.

Rarity powered up her horn and did her best to locate a certain unique gem that might be the one they are looking for.

“Sense anything yet?” Twilight asked so soon.

“My word, Twilight…you need to be patient,” Rarity scolded, “There are many gems in Ponyville, since the dragons visit more often, so there is no telling how-” Rarity suddenly turned around, towards the direction of the park.

“What is it, Rarity?”

“I sense a gem of different properties in the direction of the park. I believe without a doubt, that is where the necklace, and Shammy, may be!”

Twilight had a good feeling in her heart that it had to be her, “Well, let’s go see!” She galloped behind Rarity, while the later would continue to hone in on the location of the necklace.

*********************************

Arriving at the park and walking around for a bit, the two unicorn mares noticed a little green filly sitting over by a tree. It was definitely Shammy. “There she is…” Twilight was about to walk over but stopped, “But…I don’t know if I should go over there. I mean…what if she runs away again?”

Rarity placed her hoof upon Twilight’s shoulder, letting her best friend know that it will be alright, “You can do this, Twilight.”

Twilight Sparkle smiled and nodded, “You’re right. She needs me right now. She needs a friend…one that she can trust.”

“Go to her, Twilight. This is something only you can do, so I will give you and Shammy some time alone.”

“Thank you, Rarity.” Twilight gave her friend a hug, then slowly walked over to the tree where the green coated filly sat. Rarity smiled and returned to her home to resume working on her latest designs.

Shammy sat underneath the oak tree, sniffing and wiping her eyes of any remaining tears. What she was feeling was of both sadness and guilt. She soon heard somepony sitting next to her. Turning, she looked to see who it was.

“Hi Shammy…” Twilight greeted softly.

Shammy sniffed and turned back, “Hi…Twilight…”

The two sat there for a while, not knowing what to say to the other. The silence between them would continue, and the only sounds that would be heard was the breeze blowing and the birds singing.

Twilight felt like she needed to say something and soon; she had much to apologize for and wanted to make amends with Courageous’s sister.

Shammy was feeling bad for the way she talked to her foalsitter. She knew her brother would be angry if he found out, so she felt that she needed to say something and fast.

Sighing, the two turned to each other and said at the same time:

“I’m sorry, Twilight.”

“I’m sorry, Shammy.”

The two gasped once they realized that the other apologized, and at the same time they did. This caused them to giggle a little and turn to face the other.

“What are you sorry for, Twilight?" Shammy asked the older mare, “I mean, I shouldn’t have said all those things and-”

“No, Shammy,” Twilight placed her hoof on the little sister of her boyfriend, “You had every right to say those things…”

“Twilight…?”

Twilight sighed, but smiled and nodded, “You were right about what you said: I was always trying to spend time with Courageous…and I didn’t realize that I was being selfish when I pulled him away when he was going to play with you.”

Shammy frowned a little, but listened on to what Twilight had to say.

“He is my coltfriend, and I love him with all my heart,” The lavender unicorn admitted, “But he is also your big brother, Shammy. I know you love him as any sister would love her brother…and I know you want to protect him and always keep him close, because I felt the same way once.”

“You…did?”

“Yes…” Twilight explained, “Shining Armor and I were very close growing up and I never needed any friends but him. But eventually, I was given a new foalsitter some time before my brother would soon begin his guard training. Her name was Cadance…as in Princess Cadance.”

Shammy knew who Princess Cadance was, but never knew that Twilight had her for a foalsitter, “Wow. You had a princess for a foalsitter?”

Twilight smiled and recalled all those times with Cadance, but continued to tell the story, “At first, I didn’t like her…because I thought she was just trying to take my brother from me, since they were seeing each other for a while.”

“What happened?” Shammy asked, wanting to hear more of Twilight’s tale and how it ended.

“Well, I didn’t obey her nor respect her. I even ran away to the park to hide from Cadance. I felt sad and terrible for the way I acted, but soon Cadance found me and sat me down…and ensured me that she never wanted me to feel sad or angry. She cared for Shining Armor, but she cared for me too and wanted to be my best friend…one that I could trust.”

“Wow…” Shammy felt a little happy hearing how it all turned out.

“So you see, Cadance became my best friend and foalsitter, all because she showed me that she was a pony I could trust and always look up to. From that day forward, she was always there for me, as I was for her.” Twilight smiled and shed a tear; the memories of her foalsitter brought that familiar joy to her heart.

The little green filly admired what Twilight had been through with her own foalsitter, and wondered if the same could happen here.

Twilight wiped her tears away and look down at the now smiling filly, “I wanted to foalsit you Shammy, because I wanted us to become friends, and to be close to my boyfriend. But I forgot the most important thing any foalsitter should work towards…”

“What is that?”

“Trust. Trust between friends…especially a foalsitter and the filly,” Twilight revealed, “I want us to be friends, to trust and to be there for one another…but only if you wish for us to be, Shammy.”

The filly named Shammy could see and hear truth in Twilight Sparkle’s kindhearted words. She did admit that Twilight was a special unicorn, and her big brother loved her so very much. Smiling, she scooted closer to the lavender coated pony and hugged her, “Twilight…please be my foalsitter…and my friend.”

Gasping in surprise, Twilight smiled and nodded, “Oh yes, Shammy. I would love to be your foalsitter…and the best friend you could ever have.” With tears running down both their eyes, the two embraced each other. Both had never been so happy to be accepted by the other. At long last, Twilight Sparkle had become a foalsitter, and she was to care for the younger sister of her beloved stallion.

After a while of hugging, it eventually ended and they smiled at the other, glad to have them as a friend.

“So, can we go do something, Twilight?” Shammy asked her foalsitter.

Twilight noticed that is was getting a little late in the afternoon, but knew there would be time for fun, “We may only have a few hours left before your parents come home, but that is all the time we need to have fun, Shammy.”

“Yay!!” Shammy cheered.

With that, Twilight carried Shammy on her back, and returned home where they would spend the remaining time they had to play, get to know each other more, and to be the best of friends.

***************************

For the next few hours, Twilight Sparkle and Shammy Step did as much as possible together:

First, they would read different novels that interested Shammy a great deal. After enjoying a good story, Twilight and the little filly played a few board games that brought a few laughs along the way. Later, they decided to get all girly and braid each other’s manes to whatever they could think of. Some of the looks were funny, while the rest made them look cute. After their manes were done, they would choose a color and paint each other’s hooves.

Shammy was having one of the best days of her life; To her, Twilight Sparkle was the most kindest, caring, prettiest, and smartest mare she had ever come to know…other than her mother of course.

Twilight felt just the same towards Shammy. At first they started as the enemies, somewhat competitive over Courageous Heart for their own reasons, but now they were the best of friends. With less than an hour left, Twilight decided it was time to write a letter to the Princess. But this one would not be going to Celestia; There was another Princess that needed to read this more than the rest.

“Dear Princess Cadance,”

“Today I learned an important lesson on Friendship that I wish to share with you. After all those years of you foalsitting me, I always hoped to have the same opportunity to do the same with another filly. I finally got my chance when I was asked to foalsit my coltfriend’s little sister, Shammy.”
“But, I thought I knew what to do and that everything would go well. Turns out it did not at first. Because I forgot the most important part of being a foalsitter, that you taught me about: Trust.
“It is always important when making new friends to show them that you are a pony that they can trust and depend on. Lend them a helping hoof, show them that you care, and only then can you earn a strong bond of Friendship that will last for years to come.”

Your sister-in-law,
Twilight Sparkle.

P.S.- Tell Shining Armor I said Hi

With her letter to the Princess finished, Twilight focused and magically transported the letter all the way to the Crystal Empire. Casting a spell like that was exhausting, but worth it in the end.

*********************************

It was now 8:00 p.m. and coming in through the front door was Tap Step, Grace Step, and Courageous Heart. They had finally returned from teaching at the Ponyville Tap Dancing Academy.

“Shammy! Twilight! We’re home!!” Tap called out.

Racing out from the kitchen was their precious little filly. Shammy was so excited to see her family home.

“Mommy! Daddy! Big Brother!!” She replied as she ran up and hugged them all tight. They all got into one big family group hug and smiled.

Twilight came out of the kitchen to greet them. Courageous smiled and walked over to hug and kiss his marefriend. She blushed and kissed him back.

Shammy, who once didn’t approve, smiled when they kissed and accepted it happily.

“So…how was your time together?” Courageous asked his sister.

“It was so much fun!!” She screamed with excitement, “Twilight and I did so much: We read books, played games, and braided our manes…” She went on with all that she and her awesome foalsitter did together.

“That is so wonderful, sweetie,” Grace praised then turned to the foalsitter, “Thank you so much for watching her, Twilight. Our son was right to have chosen you.”

Blushing, Twilight smiled and thanked them for the compliment, “Thank you, Mrs. Step.”

“Mommy? Can Twilight foalsit me again tomorrow?” Shammy asked politely, hoping she would say yes.

“That is up to Twilight, dear,” Grace turned to the young mare and asked, “Would you be available the day after tomorrow to watch Shammy?”

Twilight could not help but smile when she saw the look in Shammy’s eyes; the two had such fun in only a few hours and there was still so much more to do. Turning back to the mother, the lavender unicorn nodded, “I would love to foalsit again…anytime you wish it, Mrs. Step.”

Shammy was so excited she ran up and hugged Twilight, “Thank you! You are the best foalsitter ever!!”

Twilight hugged the little filly, and was so happy to have become her foalsitter not just for today, but probably for years to come. Tap, Grace, and Courageous were moved by how the two became good friends and knew that things were going to be alright.

“Twilight?”

“Yes, Shammy?”

“Before you go, can we do the little dance again?” Shammy was referring to something Twilight once did with her own foalsitter.

“Of course we can,” Twilight approved.

The other three wondered what they meant by all that, but soon they got the answer once Twilight and Shammy began doing a special little dance, that was for them to share.

“Sunshine Sunshine,”
“Ladybugs Awake!”
“Clap Your Hooves,”
“And Do A Little Shake!”

Upon finishing, the two giggled and hugged each other one last time. Courageous and his parents could not help but laugh happily to that cute little dance that they performed. Everypony there was sharing a good laugh and knew this was to be a wondrous day that they would not forget anytime soon.
Twilight Sparkle has been given the opportunity to foalsit her coltfriend's little sister, Shammy. However excited she may be, things may not go exactly as she hoped for. Can the lavender unicorn become friends with the little filly, or will her first foalsitting end in failure?
